FAQ's

What size should I order?

For men, we recommend you try our shoes in the same size as you wear regular street shoes. So, for example, if you wear size 9.5 street shoes, we'd recommend you try our models in size 9.5.

If you're a woman, we recommend you try your regular street shoe US women's size -1. So, if you're wear size 7.5 street shoes, for example, we'd recommend you try our models in size 6.5.

All listed sizes are US men's. If you are unsure about your size or are more familiar with European sizing, please consult our sizing chart.

Which Acopa model will best fit my foot?

All our models are designed to comfortably cradle an ample range of foot dimensions within each size, particularly width. Width, the shape and camber in the design, along with the unique shape of your foot, all contribute to whether a certain model fits you well or not.

NOTE: We sometimes refer to a shoe's shape as "aggressive" when it's designed to fit your toes in a curled position. At the other end of the spectrum, a "relaxed-fit" describes models designed to fit your toes in a more relaxed and extended position.

The Enzo fits medium to narrow feet particularly well. High arch and low volume? You'll love it. It's supple build and relaxed-fit design make it comfortable for a wide variety of types of foot.

The Aztec is a medium-width model with a wide range of adjustment, so it can also accommodate both medium-narrow and medium-wide feet comfortably. It's also a relaxed-fit model.

The JB, Legend, Spectre, Chameleon, Shot and Fly are all mid-range as far as width and aggressiveness. These models are just a bit wider but also considerably more aggressive than the Aztec and Enzo.

A high performance specialist, the Merlin is a bit wider, but it is also quite aggressive. The Gama is comparable in width and fit to the Merlin. The B3 has the range to fit even wider feet comfortably in a high performance configuration.

Because we know every foot is different, sometimes it helps to know a bit more about the kind of climbing you do and the kinds of shoes you've worn in the past that seemed to fit best in order to make a better recommendation. If you'd like to receive a recommendation, please contact us at info@acopaoutdoors.com and we'll be happy to help.

Can I order split-sizes (different sizes for each shoe)? Does it cost extra?

Yes... and no.

We'll be happy to make split-size shoes for you at no extra cost.

Please note that, since they are special-ordered from our factory, it will take a few weeks to have them delivered.

If you'd like to order a split-size, please start by ordering whatever model you'd like in a size you think will fit one of your feet. Our suggestion is to order the same size as you wear in regular street shoes on that foot. We'll then ship you a regular pair in the size you ordered so you can try them on and confirm the fit.

Based on that, and on the difference you know exists between your two sizes, you'll be able to determine the second size.

Once you've confirmed your sizes, we'll have your split-size pair special made. We'll then send you a shipping label and ask you to return the pair you purchased. Then, we'll ship your split-size pair to you as soon as we receive them from the Acopa factory (usually 4 to 6 weeks).

Can I try on your shoes?

Please stay tuned for dates and locations!

Are your new models sized like the classic models?

Yes.

Our new models correspond in size with the classic versions. However, some models have been updated to include lining. Although the difference is hardly noticeable, it does mean your new shoes will take a little longer to stretch than the unlined version.
